ELF COSMETICS REVIEW
Hey all I am so excited to tell you guys about a few new products that I have just received in the mail. These products come from the elf cosmetics line. For those of you who have not heard of elf let me tell you a bit about it.
Elf cosmetics which stands for Eyes, Lips, Face is a company who sells makeup and accessories at an affordable price starting at only 1 dollar. They offer mineral makeup for those of you who have senstive skin or like to use natural products, studio products for those of us who are looking for makeup artist quality products and then there is their essential line which combines the quality of drug store products at half the price. If you have never tried elf you can pick up their products at Target, kmart, or online at eyeslipsface.com NOTE!! if you sign up for the email alerts then you can usually catch a pretty good deal. They often do weekly promotions variying from free shipping to half off as with this haul or you can even get products free. Not bad.
Now that you know a little bit about elf, lets get started on the products I ordered.
Elf Studio 144 Piece Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette:
First off I had never purchased any eyeshadow palettes from elf before this and I have to say that this palette is AWESOME!!! It comes in a pretty large case but it would have to because Hello!!!! it holds 144 different eyeshadows. This palette has many different finishes to it, matte, shimmer, a few metallics, even some neon colors. It is very pigmented and smooth to the touch. It glides on nicely and does not feel chalky when applied. This palette is great for creating any look and I would highly recommend this palette to anyone especially makeup artists. I purchased this product on the elf website and it was listed at $15.00 but I got it for half off so my total pay for this product was $7.50. A great deal.
Elf Studio 100 Piece Eyeshadow Palette:
The next product I purchased was the 100 piece eyeshadow palette, this palette was apart of their limited spring collection and combines an array of light to dark colors suited for all looks. The finishes are in matte and shimmer and are very very pigmented. I purchased this because it looked like there were a bunch of different colors in this palette that weren't in the 144 piece palette (i know shocking) Truth is, they look the same when next to eachother but they are quite different. A great thing this palette cost a fraction less than the other. It is $10.00 but as I said above I got if for half off. so $5.00 total for this palette. Amazing!!!
Elf Cream Eyeliner in Black:
This product is one of my top ten faves. This product comes in 11 different colors and even comes with its own mini eyeliner brush. I have been using this product for a while now and its awesome. It glides on smoothly and dries quickly with the right brush you can get a clean even application without practice. This product is part of the studio line and is priced at $3.00. As per the sale I only paid $1.50 for it.
There were a few other products that I purchased but they were not in the box when it arrived so I am still waiting on those. So keep checking in for that or you can follow me for the latest news in beauty.
Overall these products are of great quality and priced affordably. The only thing I wished was better was the shipping time. It is taking about 8 days to get to me and I am a state away... other than that the packaging is okay and the price is fabulous. I would reccommend this to anyone who wants to save money on beauty products and save a buck.

ESSENCE COSMETICS REVIEW
PLEASE SEE YOUTUBE VIDEO REVIEW FOR SAME REVIEW
Hey guys so I am going to be putting up a video review on Essence Cosmetics. But before I do my video review I wanted to post a blog about the products that I purchased. First off you all need to know that these products can only be purchased at two places in the US so far. Please take note that I have not searched for these products so I am not sure if they have expanded their selling range. The first place is Fred Meyers, if you don't have one near you try to check Kroger related companies which is affiliated with Fred Meyers. The second place you can purchase these products is at Ulta, if you don't have an Ulta near you, you can visit their website at www.ulta.com. Also this product line is extreamly budget friendly. Everything in this line does not go over $5.00 which is great for people who are focusing on saving in this area. Also for those of us who are deal searchers, if you purchase these products or any product for that matter usually Ulta has a $3.50 off coupon on $10.00 or more which means $$$$$$ saved, there is no better deal than that.
(As a reminder this is the sister blog to my video review and if you would like to see that or any other video tutorial or review that I have posted please feel free to click the link below which will take you to my Youtube page.)
So without further ado let's get started.
The first thing I purchased in the Essence line was the Volumizing Lash Powder ($3.49). It is by far the most unique thing I have seen from this brand let alone any brand so far. It comes in a container that is very similar to a glitter container and also has an individual lash wand included. This powder is supposed to be applied to the lashes after mascara, however there is one stipulation! Do not use with contact lenses. This is a safety precaution, because the powder is super fine mimiking small cotton feathers, it can fall and attatch itself to the lense therefor scratching the eye so yea do not use. And because I wear contacts I have not had the pleasure of trying this product yet but I will definitely let you all know how that went stay tuned for a quick tutorial on that.
The next thing I purchased is the Get Big Lashes Volume Boosting Waterproof Mascara ($2.99). It comes in a regular sized tube which doesn't seem to special. This product remindes me of the Covergirl Lash Blast mascara by way of the size of the want and the ease of which the mascara went on however the price was about half if not more than that of the Covergirl. While this product worked awesome at first I did notice that after a few uses that it started to clump more and the product seemed to be drying out. I guess you get what you pay for right? The one thing I am also a little disappointed in is that it does not come in any other color than black...Ughhh wish they would come out with more colors for those of us who are creative.
Next is the 2 in 1 Eyeliner Pen ($2.49). It also only comes in black DISAPPOINTING. At first I was a little sceptical because I really take my eyeliner seriously but was up to trying out the product. The pen is equiped with a thin side and a thick side which gives you an option to which way you would like to style your eyeliner. The thicker side seemes to be really wet and and not so dark as compared to the fine side. The pen is a felt tip liner and is easy to use. This product was $2.49 which isn't bad for a double tipped eyeliner.
The last two products I purchased were for the face itself and as I mentioned earlier everything in the cosmetic line is under $5.00 and these last 2 products are the most expensive in this line. The first is the Soft Touch Mousse Makeup in 04 Matt Ivory ($4.99). This product remindes me of the Maybelline Mousse Foundation which I personally love. This mousse is so soft smoothe and airy that you really can't tell you have anything on. I love it I think that for the price it is a bargain. However, I would recommend the product be put on using a brush rather than you fingers. I find that you really don't get an even blending application with your fingers as compared to using a brush. The only thing negative I think I would say about this product is that there is not a variety of shades there is like 4 or 5 different shades which doesn't catter to all 15 skin depths.
And now for the finale, I am super excited about this. It is the My Base Illuminating Makeup Base ($4.99). It comes in two different tubes one is green and one is pink, I only purchased the pink tube and so that is what this review is going to be on. The first think I noticed and really liked is that the tube looks like that a tube, however when you pull the top off it has this cute little pump. Now this makeup base is basically a 3 in 1. It acts as a primer, tone corrector, and concealer. Amazing all that in a little tube like this that is great. Also, it doesn't have any harsh smell and goes on smoothely. NOTE: WITH THIS PRODUCT A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY!!!
And that's it for the products in this haul. After my review and application of all the products I would have to say I am pleasently surprised at how well these products worked and at how affordable they are. If I had to recommend any one product out of the ones I just tried I would say try the My Base makeup base first and see if it can't replace the current primer you are using now. Overall my review of these products and this product line I would have to say on my FAB GRAB SCALE of 1-10 this line gets a 7 not only for creativity with packaging but for ease and affordability of all the products so far.
Well that's it for my review I hope you all gained some knowledge about this line and these products and please don't forget to subscribe and sign up for my monthly newsletter which will be giving you all an idea of what is going to be going on for the months coming.
